"Starting Move Better made a large impact out the gate, I found myself looking forward to my MB workouts and pushing myself. "The weight is absolutely crazy to me. My goal was 135, then once I reached it, right away new goal was 130. The last two times I weight 130 was when I was 16 and first had an eating disorder- so I was starving myself, probably eating 500 calories a day, not really exercising. I was proud that I was skinny and for weighing 130 but I lost all my muscle and people told me I looked emaciated. The only other time I weighed this was in my mid 20s and I would do an hour to an hour and a half of cardio a day, no strength training and again, starving myself.
Fast forward to the oldest and wisest self that I am now- I finally learned what macros worked for me (and how to track and what they even really were) and I am absolutely obsessed with strength training. All these years I avoided it bc I was afraid id get bulky, so I did everything but lift weights - pilates, boxing, cardio, barre, bounce, etc. I used to work out for hours too! Back to back classes, etc. I'll never do that again. Less is more! I work out LESS now than I EVER have before and see the MOST results, feel the MOST confident, feel the STRONGEST, love my body the most I ever have before and I eat A LOT! Lol. I get to eat all the foods I love and do not feel one OUNCE deprived. I’ve never “had it all” before like this.
I have known Tatiana since high school and I can say fitness has been her passion since then, and probably before then. I have followed her fitness journey somewhat regularly and so when she posted about MOVE BETTER I was definitely interested, but unsure if I would be able to handle the workouts.
I took the plunge and scheduled a call with Tatiana and she really took into consideration my background, if I had any concerns or issues, any injuries (which luckily I did not other than a sprained ankle from high school) and so I decided to sign up!
I noticed a difference by week 3, going on week 4, in my low back. I’ve always had pain in my lower back and not-the-best posture to go with it. While I have had pretty active jobs I am definitely a technology user which as we all know kills your posture!
